Community Guidelines
These Guidelines explain the standards expected from everyone using Valerimo. They help protect useful discussion, responsible innovation and respectful collaboration.
Useful, respectful and responsible participation
Valerimo welcomes beginners, creators, professionals, developers, companies and artificial-intelligence enthusiasts from around the world. Every contribution should help maintain a safe environment where people can discover tools, exchange knowledge and express different viewpoints without abuse or deception.
Respect
Treat people with dignity, including during disagreement.
Transparency
Be honest about affiliations, AI use and commercial interests.
Usefulness
Share information that contributes real value to the community.
Responsibility
Consider the consequences of content before publishing it.
Scope of these Guidelines
These Guidelines apply to all users and to all areas of Valerimo, including profiles, posts, comments, reviews, messages, pages, groups, images, videos, links, prompts and other contributions.
They apply alongside the Terms of Service and applicable law. Certain spaces may introduce additional rules appropriate to their subject or intended audience.
Users are responsible for the content they publish and for the consequences of their conduct on and through the platform.
Respectful and constructive behaviour
Members may disagree about technology, companies, business practices, ethics, politics or the future of artificial intelligence. Debate should remain focused on ideas, evidence and experiences rather than personal attacks.
Users should:
- communicate respectfully;
- criticise ideas and products rather than humiliating people;
- avoid deliberately provocative or disruptive conduct;
- respect language, cultural and professional differences;
- correct mistakes honestly when reliable information is provided;
- avoid repeatedly derailing discussions.
Harassment, threats and hateful conduct
Valerimo does not permit:
- credible threats or intimidation;
- repeated unwanted targeting of another person;
- humiliation, coercion or coordinated harassment;
- publication of private information to intimidate someone;
- abusive attacks based on protected personal characteristics;
- praise or encouragement of violence against protected groups;
- content intended primarily to degrade or dehumanise people.
Context matters. Educational, documentary or critical discussion of hateful conduct may be allowed when it does not promote or glorify that conduct.
Violence, self-harm and personal safety
Users must not publish content that:
- contains credible threats of physical harm;
- encourages or celebrates violent attacks;
- provides operational assistance for terrorism;
- encourages suicide or intentional self-injury;
- targets vulnerable individuals with dangerous instructions;
- uses manipulated media to create a credible safety threat.
Educational discussion concerning safety, prevention, history, research or news may be permitted when presented responsibly and without operational encouragement.
Illegal activity, fraud and prohibited transactions
Prohibited activity includes:
- fraud, phishing, scams and identity theft;
- sale or distribution of stolen accounts or credentials;
- malware distribution or unauthorised system access;
- money laundering or deceptive investment schemes;
- sale of illegal goods or services;
- sexual exploitation or any sexual content involving minors;
- non-consensual intimate content;
- instructions specifically intended to facilitate serious crime;
- circumvention of lawful access or safety restrictions.
Valerimo may preserve relevant information and cooperate with competent authorities where legally required.
AI-generated and AI-modified content
AI-generated content is welcome when it is lawful, useful and presented responsibly.
Users should clearly disclose AI involvement when:
- an image, video or voice realistically depicts a real person;
- content could reasonably be mistaken for verified journalism;
- AI materially generated a review, testimonial or expert claim;
- synthetic media concerns public events or public safety;
- failure to disclose would mislead other users.
AI content must not be used to:
- impersonate another person deceptively;
- fabricate evidence or credentials;
- produce non-consensual intimate imagery;
- misrepresent a commercial endorsement;
- conduct fraud, harassment or manipulation;
- evade other platform rules.
Misleading claims and manipulated information
Valerimo does not require every user to be an expert. Honest mistakes may occur. However, users must not deliberately present fabricated or manipulated information as verified fact when doing so could cause meaningful harm.
Users should:
- cite reliable sources for important factual claims;
- identify personal opinions and speculation;
- avoid invented statistics, studies or quotations;
- correct material errors once established;
- disclose important limitations in tests and comparisons;
- avoid presenting promotional claims as independent research.
Satire and parody may be permitted when a reasonable user can understand that the content is not intended as factual reporting.
Privacy and personal information
Users must not publish or request:
- passwords, authentication codes or private credentials;
- identity documents or financial information;
- private home addresses or precise location details;
- confidential messages without a lawful basis;
- personal data obtained through hacking or deception;
- another person's sensitive information without permission;
- datasets containing unlawfully collected personal data.
Before sharing screenshots, prompts, datasets or demonstrations, remove unnecessary personal and confidential information.
Identity, authenticity and impersonation
Pseudonyms and brand accounts may be permitted. However, users must not deceptively impersonate another person, company, organisation or public authority.
Accounts must not:
- use another person's identity to deceive users;
- falsely claim professional qualifications;
- falsely present themselves as an official company account;
- misuse logos or branding to imply authorisation;
- create coordinated fake identities to manipulate discussions;
- evade a suspension through replacement accounts.
Parody or fan accounts should be clearly identified where confusion would otherwise be likely.
Copyright and intellectual property
Users must respect copyright, trademarks, database rights, licences and other intellectual-property rights.
You may publish content when:
- you created it and retain the necessary rights;
- you obtained permission from the rights holder;
- it is available under a compatible licence;
- your use is otherwise legally permitted.
Attribution alone does not automatically authorise copying an entire article, image, video, course, dataset or software product.
Rights holders may report alleged infringement through the Valerimo Contact page.
Spam, manipulation and commercial promotion
Valerimo does not permit:
- repetitive mass posting or unsolicited messaging;
- artificial likes, follows, ratings or reviews;
- automated account creation without permission;
- misleading links or hidden redirects;
- affiliate spam or undisclosed paid promotion;
- coordinated manipulation of rankings or discussions;
- irrelevant promotion across multiple community spaces;
- fake giveaways, investment schemes or deceptive offers.
Businesses, creators and affiliates must clearly disclose relevant commercial relationships and comply with the rules of the space in which they publish.
Reviews, ratings and recommendations
Reviews and comparisons must not:
- be purchased or exchanged for undisclosed benefits;
- pretend to describe experience that did not occur;
- be published by undisclosed employees or competitors;
- contain deliberately false claims;
- coordinate artificial rating campaigns;
- attack individuals instead of evaluating the product or service.
Reviewers should disclose free access, sponsorship, affiliate links, employment, ownership or another relationship that could influence their opinion.
Cybersecurity and dual-use information
Defensive security research, responsible vulnerability discussion, education and legitimate testing may be allowed.
Content must not primarily facilitate:
- unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
- credential theft or phishing campaigns;
- malware deployment or ransomware operations;
- evasion of security monitoring for criminal purposes;
- exploitation of an active vulnerability against real victims;
- destructive attacks or theft of private information.
When discussing a vulnerability, avoid publishing sensitive operational details before affected providers have had a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
Reporting content and accounts
Use the reporting function associated with the relevant content whenever it is available.
A useful report should:
- identify the exact content or account concerned;
- select the most relevant reason;
- explain the issue clearly and factually;
- include supporting information where appropriate;
- avoid exaggeration or personal retaliation.
Reporting content does not guarantee removal. Valerimo reviews the content, context, applicable rules and available evidence.
Moderation and enforcement
Valerimo may take proportionate action when content or conduct violates these Guidelines, the Terms of Service or applicable law.
Notice
Guidance, clarification or a request to correct content.
Content action
Reduced visibility, restriction or removal of content.
Account restriction
Temporary limitation of posting, messaging or other features.
Termination
Temporary suspension or permanent account deletion.
Factors considered may include:
- severity and immediacy of the risk;
- context and apparent intent;
- actual or potential harm;
- previous violations;
- whether the user cooperates and corrects the issue;
- legal requirements and the rights of affected people.
Serious illegal conduct, exploitation, credible threats, major security abuse or evasion of previous sanctions may result in immediate permanent action.
Appealing a moderation decision
Where an appeal option is available, provide:
- the account or content concerned;
- the decision you wish to contest;
- a concise explanation;
- relevant context or evidence;
- any corrective action already taken.
Appeals should be submitted in good faith. Repeated identical requests or abusive messages do not accelerate review.
A different moderator may review the decision where reasonably possible. An appeal may confirm, modify or reverse the original action.
