Cookie Policy
This Policy explains how Valerimo uses cookies and similar technologies, which technologies are necessary and how you can control optional choices.
Our approach to cookies
Valerimo uses essential technologies required for account access, security, sessions and interface preferences. Optional analytics, advertising, personalisation or third-party tracking technologies will be used only where legally permitted and, when required, after obtaining your consent.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file or identifier stored on, or accessed from, your computer, smartphone, tablet or other device when you visit a website or use an online service.
Cookies may allow a website to recognise a browser during a session, remember selected preferences, maintain authentication, improve security or measure how a service is used.
A cookie does not normally provide direct access to files stored on your device and cannot by itself install software.
Technologies covered by this Policy
The term “cookies” in this Policy may include technologies that store or access information on a user's device, including:
- HTTP cookies;
- session cookies;
- persistent cookies;
- local storage;
- session storage;
- software-development or authentication identifiers;
- pixels, tags or similar technologies if introduced later;
- identifiers used by embedded third-party services.

Strictly necessary cookies
Essential cookies are used where necessary to provide features requested by visitors or registered users.
They may be used for:
- creating and maintaining secure user sessions;
- remembering that a user is authenticated;
- protecting login and account-management functions;
- maintaining selected privacy or security preferences;
- remembering language and visual-interface choices;
- preventing cross-site request forgery and automated abuse;
- supporting technical load balancing and service stability;
- recording cookie-consent or refusal choices.
Optional cookies and trackers
Optional technologies may include audience measurement, personalised recommendations, advertising, marketing attribution or certain embedded third-party services.
Where prior consent is legally required, these technologies will not be activated before the user has made a valid choice.
Refusing optional cookies will not prevent access to Valerimo's essential functions. Some optional media or personalisation features may, however, remain unavailable.
Third-party services and embedded content
Valerimo may later display or integrate videos, maps, social-media posts, payment services, analytics tools, advertising services or other content supplied by independent providers.
When external content is activated, the provider may receive technical information including an IP address, browser data, device identifiers or interaction information.
Where required, such content may remain blocked until the user authorises the corresponding cookie or third-party category.
Third-party providers remain responsible for their own cookies, privacy practices and retention periods.
Current use on Valerimo
At the initial launch stage, Valerimo primarily uses technical technologies associated with the Sngine platform and required for account access, authentication, sessions, interface preferences and security.
| Category | Purpose | Provider | Consent | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session | Maintain the technical session and requested platform functions. | Valerimo | Not required when strictly necessary | Session or limited duration |

Consent, refusal and withdrawal
Where optional cookies require consent, Valerimo will provide a clear choice before they are activated.
Accept
Authorise all or selected optional categories after receiving clear information.
Refuse
Reject optional technologies without losing access to essential platform functions.
Change later
Withdraw or update a previous choice through the available preference mechanism.
Withdrawal of consent applies to future processing and does not make prior processing unlawful when it was based on valid consent.
Duration of cookie choices
Valerimo may store evidence of a user's cookie choice so that the same question does not appear on every visit.
As a general practice, acceptance and refusal choices may be remembered for up to six months, unless a shorter or different period is justified by the technology, purpose, legal requirements or user expectations.
Users may still modify their choice before that period ends using the cookie-preference control when available.
Managing your choices on Valerimo
When Valerimo activates optional cookie categories, a cookie banner or preference centre will allow users to:
- accept all optional cookies;
- refuse all optional cookies;
- select categories individually;
- view information about each purpose;
- identify relevant third-party providers;
- withdraw or modify consent later.
The refusal option should be presented with a level of accessibility comparable to the acceptance option.
Browser and device settings
Most browsers allow users to view, delete, restrict or block cookies through their privacy settings.
Depending on your browser, you may be able to:
- delete existing cookies;
- block all cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- clear local-storage information;
- receive a warning before cookies are stored;
- configure different rules for individual websites.
Updates to this Cookie Policy
This Policy may be updated when Valerimo adds or removes technologies, changes providers, introduces new features or responds to legal and regulatory developments.
The effective date and version displayed at the top identify the current Policy.
When a material change affects optional cookie choices, Valerimo may request a new decision from users where necessary.
